  • REPUBLIC/REP. DEMOCRACY Short Introduction Movie
  • Hey Angela! I'm currently writing an article about Republic/Rep. Democracy. Do you know anything about it?
  • Hmmmmmm, well. Republic/Rep. Democracy is a government by the people ; citizens are the ultimate source of government authority. It is an indirect form of democracy; citizens elect representatives to make government decisions on their behalf. Oh and representatives are elected for set terms!
  • Really!? I just learned about it in my uni class! I have all the information you need and I will gladly help you.
  • So Angela, tell me. What is a Republic/Rep. Democracy?
  • For example, besides the United States, countries such as Ethiopia and Germany have a Republic/Rep. form of government!
  • I see, I see. Could you also tell me what the benefits/challenges are to Republic/Rep. Democracy?
  • Some of the benefits to this particular form of government is that people's opinions are usually heard, and that problems made by the government are easily addressed. Also, again, citizens are able to elect their representatives.
  • Oh yes! Some of the challenges are that the government might end up being unorganized and also the minorities might be left out. The government will always end up listening to the social majority instead of focusing on the minority groups, like myself.
  • Challenges?
  • WOW! Thank you so much for all this information! Now I can write a great and precise article about this!
  • No problem! Please let me know if you have any other questions! Good luck on your article!
