  • Dorothea Dix was a nurse in the Civil War through 1861-1865
  • She took care of every soldier on the battlefield that got injured because she believed that no person deserves to die
  • Dorothea Dix was born on the 14th of April in 1802 and she died on the 18th of July in 1887
  • I was surprised that she helped every soldier on the battlefield because I thought that she would take a side on slavery
  • She helped our nation because she helped us understand that no person deserves to die, no matter what they did.
  • One interesting fact is that they only wore black and white clothes( no bracelets, necklaces, etc.)
