By this point, I still hadn't gotten my license but I was very comfortable with driving my automatic SUV that my brother gave to me when he bought a new car. As of right now, this is my first, and last time ever driving a stick shift (manual) car
Uh oh...
That's fine dad, I don't mind this car at all, it's not like I'm going to drive it
Actually, I want you to try driving through our neighborhood with this manual car so you can get a feel for how it is
Joel, we're currently borrowing this stick car because mine is currently getting repaired
Alright now that we're going to switch seats so you can drive us home
Alright...
Ok so now use the clutch to move to gear one but remember to slowly accelerate and let go of the cutch at the same time
Ok so the first thing you need to do is release the hand brake
Ok I think I can do that?
Got that
If you stay stopped when the car isn't in neutral, the car will turn off
Remember that you have to accelerate at a steady pace so the car moves
*Screeches to a halt*
What was that?
Ok we're almost home just this stop sign up ahead then we park
3 minutes later after I learnt how to turn the car on
Yeah there's just another stop sign again how am I supposed to stop again?
