Storyboard Text

  • This scene represents after Johnny was beat and how he is a nervous person.
  • "He had a nervous, suspicious look in his eyes, and that beating he got from the Socs didn't help matters."
  • "You want to know something, Ponyboy? I'm scared stiff. I used to talk about killing myself... I don't want to die now.''
  • Johnny ends up dying in the hospital
  • This represents how Johnny likes to help other people and shows that he is a caring person.
  • "He wasn't scared either. That was the only time I can think of when I saw him without that defeated, suspicious look in his eyes. He looked like he was having the time of his life."
  • This is the scene when Dally was 10 years old and went to prison for being such a trouble making person.
  • "Dally had spent three years on the wild side of New York and had been arrested at the age of ten. He was tougher than the rest of us--- tougher, colder, meaner.
  • Dally gets shot and dies after pulling out an unloaded gun
  • "I knew he would be dead, because Dally Winston wanted to be dead and he always got what he wanted."
  • This shows how Dally is a careless person and likes to do bad things such as fight, get in gangs, etc.
  • "In New York, Dally blew off steam in gang fights, but here, organized gangs are rarities, there are just small bunches of friends who stick together, and the warfare is between the social classes."
