  • Militarism was a huge factor in World War 1 because everyone wanted to be the strongest and if you want to be the strongest you need to have the strongest army.
  • Alliances made everyone feel powerful because if they had trouble with one country, all its allies would jump in to fight their petty battles
  • Imperialism showed every country how powerful they could get just by invading other countries for resources and land. (Race to Africa)
  • "Im better than that country"
  • Nationalism made every country feel superior to every country and unequal
  • The assassination of Franz Ferdinand was what started WW1
