As Christian youth, we all are called to share the love which Christ has exemplified on the cross. This yuletide season is another opportunity for us. Christmas, for me, is more than just greeting one another, or spreading good cheer. It is the very essence of giving, just like how Jesus gave Himself as our most precious gift.
To add to that, as Filipino Christian youth, we are God's beloved children, whom he blessed with many gifts, and we ought to share love towards fellow men. The following is a short story of how Mikhael exemplified Christ's love and gift of giving this Christmas.
But it's Christmas! Let's go inside and eat. It's on me
Hey mister, I was about to walk in that restaurant, but I noticed you sitting out here alone, and it seems like you're hungry.
Thank you sir! May God Bless you for sharing your blessings this season.
Indeed, sir. I am very hungry. I don't have enough money to buy food.
SIr, this act of yours really shows how beloved and empowered you are. Which led you to this act of sharing what you have, to me, a stranger.
I'm just trying to pay it forward , mister. I mean Christmas is more than just being kind, it actually is doing something for others, which in fact, shows love.
May God Bless you sir. Thank You, and Merry Christmas!
So long brother. I hope that you remember that Christ is the reason of the season. And that sharing is loving., and that it makes the world a better place. Merry Christmas!
