The Cheery Nephew goes to visit his uncle Scrooge, who is grumpy at all times.
A gentlemen appears at Scrooge's door to see if he'd like to participate in the fundraiser he is setting up for the homeless people and Scrooge says no.
Marley, Scrooge's partner in life, had recently died and is now haunted by never resting in peace until Scrooge changes his attitude. Marley then tells about the three spirits that will come to Scrooge's house and haunt him for each night.
