  • our arrows shall block out the sun!!!!
  • Cyrus, King of Persia gets greedy and decides he wants to take over Greece and decides he wants to start with the Ionian colonies in circa 546 BCE, but later on in 499 BCE we have the Ionian revolt which is self explanitory.
  • Salamis
  • I wonder what's around that rock........ Ahhhh! Athenians!
  • The Battle of Marathon, a battle between Athenians and Persians under Darius the first in 490 BCE, where, once the Athenians won, a dude ran 26.2 miles to tell Athens that they won, then immediately died from exhaustion, thought historians still debate whether that actually happened or not.
  • Plataea
  • Why can't the Athenians just let us have their swamp!? AIEEEEEEE!
  • The Battle of Thermopylae was a 3 day battle of 298 Sparta elite and both Spartan kings against the invading Persian forces in 480 BCE which killed very many Persians before a Spartan traitor told the Persians about a secret passage around the wall the Spartans were in and ambushed the 300 slaughtering them all.
  • Delian League
  • The Battle of Salamis in 480 BCE was a naval battle between the Athenians, who were outnumbered but won in an ambush of small hit-and-run tactic ships, and the 2nd Pesian invading force in the Straights of Slamis.
  • Yup! Get out of our Swamp!
  • The Battle of Plataea was the last battle of the 2nd Persian invasion of Greece near the city of Plataea between an alliance of many Greek city-states and Persian and its allies in 479 BCE where the Greeks ambushed the Persians in their camp and slaughtered them.
  • The Delian League was an alliance started by Athens where the Athenians collected taxes in exchange for protections via a strong navy but eventually became corrupt and caused the Peloponnesian War, but that's a story for another time, but the Athenians used it a scare tactic to force smaller city-states to pay them taxes and adopt a democracy.
  • Delian Leauge Convention! Supporters of Democracy only!
  • (ALL 3) Democracy must have a swamp, you can't have an efficient democracy if it isn"t based in a swamp!
