Storyboard Text

  • The queen had an interesting dream about a white elephant goring her. She ask a priest about the dream and was delighted to find out that it meant good for her baby.
  • The baby was born in a palace where he could walk and talk at birth. Many important people came to watch his birth, including the good gods. He would either rule the world or become the buddha when he would be older
  • when he got older he lived in a life of luxury with jewels gold and robes. He also had really good archery skills.
  • When he went out of the castle on his chariot he saw three types of suffering, death, sickness and aging. then he saw an ascetic who had given up everything and was very peaceful. Confused the prince asked him why he was so peaceful him the ascetic told him he was free of suffering.
  • after that he decided to become an ascetic and find the truth about freedom and suffering. There he gave up all his riches and walked into the woods with just a simple robe and a bowl for alms
  • He became the Buddha when he was on the tree of Bodhi. he also saw his past lives and saw the importance of karma. He discovered four truths under the tree which would become the four noble truths. They were the four basic principles of Buddhism
