Storyboard Text

  •                         Gathering
  •  We must get these berries to feed our children! Ow! Thorns!
  • waah!
  • Hunting
  • I - I must hunt to survive!
  • I have traveled 10 miles for this!
  •  Discovery of agriculture
  • We now have enough to feed our children.
  • I can get pork from a pig!
  • Because of keeping animals, I haven't gone hungry!
  • The job for the women was to gather nuts and fruit. But since women were also in charge of watching the children, they had to bring the babies along and take care of them while picking food.
  •                       Houses
  • Our homes are now improved!
  • When did we get so smart?
  • Oh yeah! Just wait till it rains!
  • This ... is ... a ... NIGHTMARE!!
  •  The job men had back in the paleolithic period was hunting. Many men would travel far from caves to go find an animal and kill it. Many were either wounded or killed by dangerous animals.
  • Trading
  • I'll give you my wheat.
  • Let the trading begin!
  • And I will give you my sheep.
  • By 8000 BC, most people knew how to grow crops and raise animals. The word for this is agriculture. People also made better tools to work with for gardening. Paleolithic people soon turned into neolithic  people which means they stay mainly in one spot because they don't need to be "nomads".
  •                       Leaders
  • I hereby give you your king!!
  • People learned how to make permanent houses to stop wild animals from coming into their homes. Houses would be made out of materials that were common depending on the land that people lived on.
  • We love our new house!!
  •  Trading became very popular. Many people would trade a certain good for someone else's. Trading was like a currency back then. If one person had a surplus amount of food, then they could trade it for something they needed like a tool or construction supplies.
  • It's a deal!
  • I am worth way more than wheat!
  •  People nominated leaders to create laws to be passed on around the land. Sadly, this was the start where some people were considered not to be equal to others. Also, when leadership started, there would be conflict for power or ideas. It is amazing how much humans have evolved in civilization. From paleolithic to neolithic!
  • YAAH!
  • Let's here it for our king!
  • Dilly! Dilly!
  • He smells terrible!
