Hi, I'm John O'Donnell. This is my wife and two great kids. They're 11 and 7 yrs old.
"Why are we standing here like we're posing?"
"You're breaking the 4th wall!!!!"
I like to spend time in my garden.
"uhh, your Hogwarts logo is pretty bad"
I like to read, I'm in a fantasy mood lately: Game of Thrones, The Witcher and Harry Potter!
Hey cut me some slack, this program is free
I've been at Stonehill College in Easton, MA for 16 years. My main responsibility is LMS support, but I hope to do more design work in the future.
We're new to online, and have a small program that only runs in Summer. As of last summer, faculty must complete an 8 week training program where they learn about things like UDL, accessibility, student engagement, etc. in order to run their course online.
We use a modified version of the University of Illinois and OLC's OSCQR Course Design Review. The main issue that we're facing is how to enforce this rubric. We fall under IT, but the Center for Teaching and Learning, which falls under the Academic wing, is responsible for the online courses. We can go through our checklist and make recommendations all we want ,but don't have much authority.
