Moses was born a Hebrew but he was rescued from the river by the Pharaohs daughter and raised as the Prince of Egypt
It came to pass when Moses was older that he went out and saw a soldier beating one of his brethren, a Hebrew slave. It was then that he knew who he was. He became angry and killed the soldier. Moses fled to Midian and there he discovered his purpose.
In Midian Moses sees the daughters of the Priest Reuel being abused by Shepherds and Moses defends them. God spoke to Moses. God called Moses out of the burning bush and told him to go to Pharaoh and bring my children out of Egypt. Moses was protected on his journey by God.
Moses led his people across the desert, and through the sea. He led them through many obstacles but always succeeded because he was protected by God.
Moses powers struck fear in the hearts of the Egyptians. H had the power through God to turn a rod into a serpent, and make the waters flow red. God gave the ten commandments to him as rules
The Israelites became angry with Moses when spies returned from Canaan and told Moses that the Israelites would never conquer the land that God had promised them. Moses becomes furious with the Israelites and says, "when the Lord heard your loud complaints He was angry and vowed that not one of this evil generation shall see the promised land that I swore to give to your fathers." The behavior of the Israelites and Moses reaction made God not let them in the promised land.
