I want to prove my father wrong by crossing the bridge my father could not cross.
I am on top of the world!!!
Achi Is the name of my tragic hero. Achi means strength in Igbo, Nigeria, which is where he is from. Achi has to now take on the task as being King since his father and mother committed suicide two weeks ago while he was away from the kingdom in battle. All he has now is his wife and son, Achi Jr. .
Achi's tragic flaw is that he doesn't want to be seen as weak. He is always trying to be a better King that his father was.
Achi's hubris is to not show any emotion towards anything. He thinks he is better than everyone else and thinks he is on top of the mountains while everyone else is on the ground.
Achi's peripeteia is that he made a foolish mistake by killing a clansman. This causes Achi's fortune to change, for he was exiled from the throne, forced to give up his crown and lost all of his belongings.
After Achi's wife and son die, he realizes that he loved his wife and son more than had thought. This leads Achi to fall into a deep depression.
Finally, Achi ends up committing suicide just like his parents did. He was buried in a royal field right beside his family. He did meet his goal to be a better King than his father, and he will be truly missed by his people.
