The French Revolution
Hamilton’s battle was getting the United States out from debt. He first would try to get us out of war debt. Second he would place tax on imported goods. And last he would create a national bank to have a safe place the government could have there money.
The Whiskey Rebellion was a group of farmers that were rebelling against the tax on whiskey. They were against it because if they could not get their crops sold then they would make whiskey to sell. Also horses could carry more whiskey to sell then they could carry crops somewhere. Whiskey became a popular thing in that time era.
The French Revolution put our country in a really hard situation. Jefferson argue was that we should help fight with the French and attack for liberty. But Hamilton realized that British trade was too important. Later the United States would announce that we are staying neutral in the war.
