Storyboard Text

  • "Go bid thy mistress, when my drink is ready, she strike upon the bell. Get thee to bed"
  • He sends the servant away so he can have time to himself
  • "There's no such thing. It is the bloody business in which informs thus to mine eyes."
  • He says there isn't a dagger but since he's thinking about murder so much, he is "seeing" one
  • "Mine eyes are made the fools o' th' other senses, or else worth all the rest"
  • This line shows how Macbeth is hillucinating and doesnt know if his vision is the only sense working, or not working right not
  • "Hear not my steps, which way they walk, for fear thy stones prate of my whereabout, and take the present horror from the time, which now suits with it."
  • Macbeth is talking to the floor and telling it not to make noise when he walks because he fears it will give away where he is.
  • This shows how he really does want to kill Duncan, and he needs to stop wasting time and just go do it.
  • "While i threat, he lives. Words to the heat of deeds too cold breath gives."
  • "I go, and it is done. The bell invites me. Hear it not, Duncan, for it is a knell that summons thee to heaven or to hell"
  • This shows the reader that he killed Duncan, but they didn't show it, the reader just assumes.
