  • By my head, here comes the Capulets.
  • Act 3 Scence 1
  • By my heel, I care not.
  • Act 3 Scence 1
  • Mercutio, thou consortest with Romeo.
  • Consort? What, dost though make us minstrels? Here's my fiddlestick, here's that shall make you dance.
  • Act 3 Scence 1
  • Villian I am none. I see thou knowest me not.
  • Thou art a villian.
  • Boy, this shall not excuse the injuries that thou hast done to me, therefore turn and draw.
  • Mercutio shows that he is not intimidated by the Capulets, he doesn't care that Tybalt is approaching.
  • Act 3 Scence 1
  • Gentle Mercutio, put thy rapier up.
  • O calm, dishonourable, vile submission! Tybalt, you rat-catcher will you walk?
  • Here, Tybalt provokes Mercutio by teasing him for being associated with romeo.
  • Act 3 Scence 1
  • Tybalt, Mercutio, the Prince expressly hath forbid this bandying in Verona streets.
  • This shot shows Tybalt's provocative nature, as he starts insulting Romeo by calling him a "villain" and a "boy."

  • I do protest I ne'er injured thee.
  • Here, Tybalt has angered Mercutio to the point of battle, but Romeo is attempting to be a peace-maker and prevent them from fighting.
  • Come, sir, your 'passado'.
  • Romeo further tries to prevent Tybalt and Mercutio from fighting, but Tybalt plays dirty and thrusts his sword deep into Mercutio from under Romeo's arm.
  • This shot shows Mercutio angry and disappointed, so on his death-bed he curses the Capulet and Montague houses.
  • A plague a'both houses! I am sped.
