Hector is fighting Patroclus. Patroclus doesn't really have much of a chance because he doesn't know that Hector is coming for him. Hector thinks it is Achilles because Patroclus is wearing Achilles armor. Hector comes charging in like a bull and stabs him. Patroclus tries to crawl away but gets finished by Hector.
One of the messengers comes and tells Achilles that Patroclus is dead and that Hector is the one who killed Patroclus. Achilles is mad and wants to go and kill Hector but he has no gear because Patroclus was wearing it. His mother tells him if he kills Hector then he too will die. Achilles doesn't care and he tells his mom to go and get him new armor. She reluctantly went.
Achilles' mom is back from where she went to get his new armor. She hands him the armor and he took it and put the armor on. She tells him to be careful and to do his best and to come back safe.
Achilles and Hector meet up for the first time to battle it out. Hector tells Achilles that which ever one died would get a proper process that each side does. That the body would be given to the family for the burning of the body and Achilles said "NO." I am here to avenge Patroclus. Then Hector tries to tell Achilles that he thought it was him not Patroclus. Although Achilles doesn't care.
Finally Achilles and Hector fight and the fight for a while. Neither one really gains an advantage over the other but Achilles is almost looking like he is not even trying. After a while Achilles stabs Hector in the neck area and holds him on the ground before finishing him in the stomach.
Normally Achilles is an honorable warrior but he is so mad that Hector killed his best friend Patroclus he instead of allowing his body to be taken by his family he takes Hector and drags him in his chariot. Achilles drags him around many times back and forth in front of the Trojan gates with everybody watching. At this many people are shocked at what Achilles was doing.
