Rome was on the edge of the Italian peninsula, it was on the Tiber river. It was very mountainous. It was southwest of the Apennines.
Etruscan influence on Greek sports
Romulus and Remus fight over which one of them their city should be named after. In a batter to the death, Remus dies and Romulus reigns victorious so the city is named Rome.
Greek influence on Roman architecture
Some of the Etruscan influences in engineering were the cuniculus and arches. Arches were used in walk ways and were more supportive than regular doorways. The cuniculus was a type of irrigation. They booth helped the Roman culture strive.
Greek influence of writing art and religion.
Etruscan's had a major influence on Greek sports including Slave fighting, and chariot racing. Chariot racing, People would have horses attached to two wheeled carts and raced others. Slave fighting was when two slaves with a dead master fought each other to the death. The winner was congratulated then killed.
The Greeks influenced the Roman architecture by giving them the idea of columns. There were three types of columns, Doric, the simplest, ionic the somewhat complex, and the Corinthian the most complex. The Romans made marble building. They eventually found out how to use concrete to build bigger sturdier structures.
Greeks would write important documents on stone or bronze and display it in town. Romans and Greeks were also similar in the way that they would write in all capital letters and carve into stone or bronze because they did not have paper. Romans would carve into columns. Romans also got pottery from Greeks. Romans got their gods from Greek but changed the names, Zeus became Jupiter and so on.
