Scenario 2: Mark has been working at a sport’s store since he was 14 years old, and he finally has enough to buy a car which is what he has been saving for. However, he knows he should be thinking about applying to college soon; and his parents do not have a money to help him pay for college. He can’t decide if he should continue saving so he can use the money for college or if he should get the car he has been wanting for years.

  • Mark has been saving money for a car and now he has enough but he is also about to go to college. Knowing his parents can't​ pay for college he's not sure which one to choose
  • What kind of car?
  • Should Mark get a car or pay for college?
  • Could he get a schloarship?
  • Will the car last a long time?
  • Get a scholarship​ and buy the car.
  • Why don't​ you do both?
  • Now mark is looking at the benefits of both options and the positives and negatives.
  • College will provide a education.
  • Cars can last a very long time.
  • What if my car breaks down?
  • What if I don't finish college?
  • Now mark is thinking real hard about the negatives​.
  • Cars will need tires and things donw to them.
  • College can cost more than you have.
  • What if I dont like college or the car?
  • Lets do a college and car study.
