The effects of prohibition.
This will show you some of the effects prohibition had in the 1920's.
This was a rioter.During prohibition,caused by the 18th amendment,many rioted because of their anger.They thought this was meaningless.

There also were speakeasies.Speakeasies were hidden bars that illegally sold alcohol.But even though they were hidden,police still could find them.
There was also a rise in crime.Gangsters took the opportunity to sell bootleg liqour and get money,mainly because no one else had liqour.And because cops were usually busy,it was even easier for them.
From what we know,the reason prohibition started is because of four reasons:effect on religion,national mood,supply usage,and moral.
