After settling in clay country I begin a mission called the Zion mission to recover land. Shortly after this I began to build a Kirkland Temple in Lake County, Ohio. where this church thrived, and brought more and more people the church.
The Kirkland ere ended in 1838 after one of the churches failed and created widespread deflections.
The Mormons in Missouri were later asked to move from clay country and they secured land in Cladwell country.
After the failure of the church in Caldwell country ,I regrouped with the church in Far west Missouri.
In the war against the Mormons and the old Missouri settlers, tensions ran high. On October 27 the governor of Missouri orders that Mormons be treated as enemies, and should be driven out of the state.
After this about 8000 Mormons migrated to Illinois and this is where Mormons flourished.
We had bought a small town called Nauvoo Illinois, this is where would build the churches and temples, this became the headquarters for the Mormons where we had more and more people coming to the church, we even had people immigrating from Europe.
This is when people really started to believe in Mormonism and made it how it is today
