For the Applied Interactive Story class.
~ 2016: Around this time Tyke had been noticeably having some issues. Between my phone calls and visits it seems like he had gained a bunch of weight and then lost it all within the span of a year. He was not as active as usual, tending to sleep more. At this point my mother was out of work as constant treatments were preventing her from doing so, but not her social life.
As the end of the year came she would tell me how sweet Tyke was getting towards her and how he has changed in his old age, choosing to lay next to her more than my stepfather.
2017: Early this year I was talking to my mother, as usual the two topics came up. She was going in for an experimental treatment and was nervous, but she kept on being optimistic that it would help. When it came time to talk Tyke she said he had disappeared again, but he had been gone longer than usual and they were not able to find him. My mother passed away a few months later.
