- Jenny and Ethan were walking home from school to Jennys house.
- Hey Jenny! What is your sister doing?
- She is taking her medication. Ever since she was around our age she has been taking it to help control her anxiety.
- Oh so kind of like the drugs we talked about in health class? But this one is a healthy one???
- Well not exactly, my sister told me it is safe when used as directed by the doctors. How about we go talk to her?
- Hey Guys! I would love to share some information with you guys. I take a prescription called Conazepam.
- Hey Sara! My friend Ethan and I saw you taking your medication and were curious about how they work and if it is safe?
- The drug is safe when used as recommended. The active drug used in the medication is Benzodiazepines. This is the piece that can cause some people to become addicted. When someone becomes addicted they will build tolerance to the drug.
- We learned about tolerance in health class! That means that in order to feel the affects of the drug they must take a larger amount of the drug!
