  • Overfishing is a global issue. Fish are being caught in nets faster than they can reproduce. Overfishing is creating numerous impacts on the environment, people and marine life. Here is an example of the impacts overfishing has on humans with Bob's story.
  • He works as a near shore fisherman and delivers the fish he catches to his local grocery store.

  • This is Bob, he lives in a small town called Longwood.
  • One day when Bob was on the ocean he caught no fish!
  • For next few days Bob went out fishing again but there was no luck, he couldn't catch any fish.
  • After that Bob lost his job and had no way to provide for his family or ensure food security.
  • Bob and his family had no job, no money and no hope
  • Because of the income of Bob's fish no longer coming in Longwood's Grocery store was in trouble of collapse.
