They feel like if they are a problem . They feel like that because of how everybody makes them feel, according to the African American they feel like if they dont belong world so they separate themself from the world.

They felt so isolated...thinking they dont belong there just because of the thought of them being a problem.
As you can see the whites and blacks were clearly the same, but the blacks feel like if they were born with a veil that separates them self from others. And worry about how whites see each other, thats called double consciousness.
I will not change my culture for the White America, i have to share stuff with the Americans.
I will not change my culture as well i will teach the Africans my culture and much more.
He believed that he shouldn't change his culture in order to be an American because he had to teach others about the culture, same goes to the whites, thy shouldnt changed their culture because they have to teach others about it, but he wishes to be able to be negro and American with out being judged by others.
They thought that the key to freedom was to the Emancipation Act to be signed. They felt like the Emancipation Act was going to bring them closer to the the promise land
Although they got the Emancipation Act , they still have not met peace and freedom. With that said many people were very disappointment.
