  • Kasey (left) and Ernie (right) are Sockeye Salmon.
  • So, where are we going...
  • They are traveling to get to food. They must travel because the reproduction cycle is tough!
  • What's that smell?
  • Kasey and Ernie are siblings. Ernie doesn't know much about the reproduction cycle so Kasey is explaining it a long the way. They are going towards their food.
  • That is our destination. Since we have matured, we can smell our food from far away.
  • It's been two and a half months and they've made it to their food destination.
  • Yep Ernie! We've come a long way :)
  • Oh wow! I can see the fish we are almost there.
  • Woah... why did we change colors?
  • It has been nearly four years and the siblings are ready to head back home.
  • It's because of the shrimp and other plankton we ate.
  • Oh cool!
  • Sockeye Salmon usually spend 2-5 years in the ocean eating. For Kasey and Ernie it was nearly 4 years for them.
  • As we head home, our stomachs dissolve and get ready for reproduction
  • Now their 4 year journey is about to come to an end... They are about to start the reproduction phase...
  • Yay! Home sweet home!
  • There's Damien and Kate... we can reproduce now!
