  • June 20, 1789 - Third Estate decided to break from the Estates General and draw up their own constitution
  • Women March On Versailles
  • July 17, 1789- A popular riot storming a prison which eventually became a revolyionary symbol

  • August 27, 1989- The National Assembly passed the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of Citizen
  • October 5, 1789-The King and queen were captured and taken to Tuileries Palace in Paris because they were seen as traitors
