  • 1) This led to a series of wars, introducing Napoleon's powerful reign. 2) Nationalism bonded not only France, but the rest of Europe as well. 3) The United States followed the French's footsteps to create a democracy.
  • ...French citizens were inspired by the American Revolution and decided to take charge. They disagreed with the government's taxation and absolute powers.
  • Napoleon's Continental System, a trade policy against Britain, failed to work in his favor. He ended up losing his ties with Russia after a failed invasion in 1812 because of his demands for them to obey his policy, soon resulting in more battles and then the end of his era.
