Storyboard Text

  • Hey, so what is the Colombian Exchange? And what were its effects?
  • Oh, good question. The Colombian was a major event within the Age of Exploration
  • Okay, what about the effects?
  • The Colombian Exchange was the widespread transfer of goods between the Old and New world
  • What is the Triangle Trade then?
  • The transfer of new goods caused both negative and positive effects for the native population of that area.
  • People very easily confuse the two. As the Triangle Trade and the Colombian Exchange were two very different things.
  • What was the exchange between continents?
  • The Triangle Trade was an actual route between Europe, Africa, and the New World.  The transfer/order of goods created a triangle between the three continents.
  • I see, thanks for explaining!
  • From Europe came manufactured goods to Africa. From Africa came slaves to the New World. From the New world came natural resources to Europe. Continuing over and over again.
