The Muslims from Spain would threaten the Gaul (modern day France) territories.
The two armies met and waited six days and finally the Arabs attacked on the seventh day.
The Frankish drove some of the Arabs out. The Abd er Rahman called to retreat and he was surrounded and killed by Frankish calvary.
The Franks ambushed the Arabs and retreated back into their own territory.
Charles the Hammer and the Franks celebrated their victory.
