Storyboard Text

  • Childhood & Growing Up
  • Growing up was tough, I know I can be careless at times, but I think beyond the lines although no one ever notices.
  • Scene 1
  • "God damn it. You always do everything backasswards. You don't do one damn thing the way you're supposed to (Salinger 40).
  • "All right, give it back to me, then," I said. I went over and pulled it right out of his goddam hand. Then I tore it up (Salinger 41).
  • Scene 2
  • Holden goes through a series of unfortunate events growing up; therefore, always tries looking out for kids as they are the people he loves the most.
  • Holden argues with Stradlater about his project he told Holden to do for him while he went on a date with Jane. Stradlater was mad that he wrote his paper on his dead brother's baseball glove; although that baseball glove symbolized something to Holden.
