there are two different species of mouse on one island who both share the same predator.
one mouse is better suited for the environment and blends in better than the more visible white mouse. The brown mouse can produce up to 4 babies. while the white mouse can only produce 2
although it is more likely that the predator will prey on the brown mouse since there is more of them he can see the white mouse better and is easier for him to hunt for.
the number of brown mice almost quadruples the white mice by the next generation
but since they cant reproduce the amount of mice that die each day is more costly because of the little numbers they have
eventually the better adapted brown mice outlive the white mice due to there superior camouflage and their ability to reproduce faster.
