Zeus sends his mighty eagle to abduct the beautiful Aegina, the daughter of Asopus. Sisyphus watches as Aegina is taken away.
Sisyphus, the king of Corinth, made a deal with Asopus, a river god. Asopus would create a spring for Corinth, and Sisyphus would tell Asopus where his abducted daughter Aegina is.
Zeus is furious, and sends Thanatos, or Death, to reap SIsyphus' life. But Sisyphus tricks Thanatos and makes him his prisoner.
Aeries is upset that no one is dying, so he releases Thanatos, and he takes Sisyphus to Hades. Sisyphus had made a plan before he arrived, and was allowed one more day in the overworld.
Sisyphus returns to the over world and runs away with is wife. He lived in hiding with his wife for the rest of his long life, until the inescapable occurred.
Sisyphus died of old age and was taken to Tartarus, where he was to roll a boulder up a mountain, only to have it roll back down when he got to the top. He would do this for eternity.
