Storyboard Text

  • "Hello everyone! Cartoon Joshua here! I want to talk to you about Inertia."
  • "Now, This guy over here is going to be showing us what Inertia is. For one, Inertia is the tendency of an object to resist, and changing motion."
  • Inertia is also an example of Isaac Newton's 1st Law of Motion. His law states that "An object at rest remains at rest, and an object in motion remains in motion at constant speed and at a straight line unless acted on by an unbalanced force."
  • Swoosh!
  • "Violà!   You see,  How he did this was simple!   When the Inertia, in this case are the plates, are resisting the change in motion from the tablecloth. "
  • So the friction caused is very little! It is almost as if it is "breaking" the friction because the plates pass over the tablecloth for such a short moment, like a snap of the fingers!
