This example of Newton's 1st law of Motion shows a Soccer ball at rest being hit by an Unbalanced Force causing it to be in motion.
Newton's first law of Motion states that an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by an Unbalanced Force.
This ball is currently at rest.
As my leg gets closer to kicking the Soccer ball it will be acting as an Unbalanced force.
As the ball moves across the air the 3rd law of Motion is an effect as the ball did not remain at rest because an unbalanced force acted upon the ball.
The Ball originally positioned at rest was acted upon by a kick (Unbalanced Force) and was then put in motion causing the Goal to be scored.
Therefore, when I kicked the soccer ball that was at rest, my leg was acting as an unbalanced force following Newton's 3rd law, stating that anything at rest will stay at rest unless it is acted upon by an unbalanced force.
