  • I like this new land. 
  • Lets create a similar government to the US. 
  • Heres out first church!
  • Lets make schools too!
  • Each of the nations had been moved to different areas of oklahoma after being removed from their land. 
  • Pick cotton and other valubles!
  • The tribes realized that they needed governments so each of the nations made their own, most with constitutions. 
  • Lets trade these goods!
  • Many of them had been promised money and help with building schools and churches for education and religion. So they started building once they made governments. 
  • I'm glad we have our old traditions!
  • Part of their new economy was from farming and slavery. Some civilized natives had slaves. They would grow crops and cotton. 
  • Another part of their new economy was manufacturing and trading goods. They would use the path connecting forts to trade with other tribes or explorers.
  • The indians kept doing their ancient rituals and practices despite all of the loss and pain they had to endure on the way to their new home. They did traditions like sacred dances and honoring the elders.
