Storyboard Text

  • The Approach
  • Your doing good
  • The Ordeal
  • The Reward
  • I'm healed and ready to play
  • Good to have you back Tom
  • People greatly doubted Tom, but it wasn't until he overheard his own coach say that he thought he wasn't progressing fast enough that really made Tom mad. Tom decided to go to the gym and work even harder so he can heal in time and prove everyone wrong.
  • The Road Back
  • Tom is getting better and better and is making good progress towards meeting his goal. But then Tom gets some bad news. George got in a car accident and will not be able to train Tom anymore. Tom visits George in the hospital and George tells Tom to use the excercises he taught him and to keep training and that he will be ready for the Championship.
  • The Resurrection
  • Tom continues to train and is now regularly attending practices again. The big game is only a couple days away now and Tom is feeling good and ready to go. His shoulder has no pain and he is going to be able to play in the big game.
  • The Return
  • We want you to come play for us
  • Tom gets ready for the Championship with the rest of the team for the next three days: catching up on plays, making sure he can still throw and hand off the ball well and using his shoulder like he was used to.
  • The State Championship is finally here. Tom feels nervous but confident of his abilties. Tom leads his team to a tied score of 28-28 in the fourth quarter. Woodside High has the ball but it's on their own ten yard line. The time is running out and Tom and his team will have time for one more play. Tom calls the same play that they ran right before he hurt his shoulder last time. This time, he wouldn't mess up. Tom hikes the ball and throws deep...very deep. The ball finds the hands of a reciever who scores a touchdown as the last seconds tick away off the clock.
  • Tom had won the State Championship. Tom had also thrown the longest throw in his life. Tom, before celebrating with his teamates, was stopped by three different college scouts. They all told him they were interested in him and invited him to their training camps to further see his abilities. This was a dream come true for Tom. Tom had won the State championship, got three new college offers, and had done it all right after working hard to come back from a shoulder injury. Tom could already see himself being on a college team, and agreed to himself that he wouldn't settle for anything less.
