Hi, I'm Arnold Schwarzenegger and I want to find the height of this building in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
I need to figure out the height of the building before the ice melts so I can measure a distance from the base of the building.
I measure a point 436 feet away and an angle of 67.8 degrees from the base to top.
Since I have the angle and the adjacent side of the triangle, and i'm looking for the opposite side, I will use the tangent function.
I put the values into the function. tan(67.8)x/436
Now I slove. 436tan(67.8) = 1068.385 feet The building is 1068.385 feet tall
