  • Macduff is suspicious of Macbeth and the killing of Duncan. Macduff doesn´t believe Macbeth will be a good king for Scotland and has begun preparing his destruction. Clothing Imagery is used here as a subtle way to show Macduff´s suspicions and apprehensions about Macbeth´s kingship.
  • Macbeth has decided that he does not want to go through with the killing of Duncan. However, Lady Macbeth´s fierce ambition pressures him into doing it by emasculating him and calling him a coward. Clothing imagery is used to illustrate Lady Macbeth´s mindset in asking if the original decision was just a result of childish ambition.
  • Angus is a part of Malcolm´s army plotting to slay Macbeth. Angus and the others believe that Macbeth is not fit to be king. Clothing imagery is used here to portray the great responsibilities that come in part with kingship that Macbeth was unprepared for and can´t bear.
