Storyboard Text

  • Hi Im Dupin. I come from a well known family, and was in poverty. I like to read books and use reasoning.
  • Exposition:  Dupin and the narrator were acquaintances and decided to move in a apartment together. Dupin is a really smart man and likes to use reasoning.  
  • Hi Im the narrator, I first met Dupin in a library.
  • Conflict: On the news paper Madame L'espanaye, and her daughter, Camille, were found dead in the rue morgue. Madame had her head decapitated, and Camille was shoved up the chimney leg first. The culprit is no where to be found. This caught Dupin's attention.
  • Rising action: The police were having trouble finding the culprit. There were many suspects but Le Bon stood out the most.  One of the evidence was the Napoleon money. Le bon was seen with the madame at the bank holding a bag of the money. The police think he could have had motive and be the culprit.
  • Bank
  • You're under arrest Le Bon!
  • Climax: Dupin felt like something was wrong and did not feel like Le bon was the culprit of the crime. The money was still in the room and he had no motive. As he investigated more he found out The Who the culprit was. It was related to a French man, the Sailor. He had an idea to lure him out.
  • It was my pet ourang-outang. He escaped his cage and went on a rampage.
  • Falling Action: Dupin knew the culprit wasn't human, He also knew that the sailor knows what happened in the morgue. So the sailor explained everything and the culprit was his pet the ourang-outang.
  • "Ourang-outang"
  • Im free!
  • Resolution: The mystery was solved. Le Bon was released and the sailor goes on to catch his ourang-outang and sells it to the zoo.
