Getting your L: study for your test online at ICBC website or download the app. Take the practice test to see where your at, when you feel confident and are 16 go to a ICBC building to take the test.
Once you have passed your first driving theoretical test, and have received your L you can start practicing driving with a fully licensed adult. It is always a good idea to take driving lessons with a driving teacher if possible.
After a year of driving you can take a practical hands on class 7 road test. The test is taken with a examiner who will take you on a route that tests your driving abilities.
When you pass ( if you fail the first time you can take it again in 14 days) you have to have two years of safe driving before you can take your next test. You now have your N( novice) and if comes with restrictions. You must display your sign at all times, limit of one passenger, and all other driving laws apply.
To be eligibly to take you class 5 test you must have had 24 months free from any driving probations. Your class 5 test will be a lot like your class 7 test but slightly harder with more difficult terrain. To prepare for this test you can go online to the ICBC sight to review road rules and other required information.
Once you have passed you have your full lincense. Congradulations!!
