Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • We begin with the birth of Lilian Armstrong, a very premature baby who, to the family, seemed nearly dead. Due to this fact, the family believed she wouldn't live very long. They had asked for coffin instead of a bassinet.
  • Climax
  • The brother of Lilian -Vincent- soon becomes embarrassed to have a sister like her. All he had wanted was a normal sibling. Not someone like her. Therefore he strives to make her "normal".
  • Faling Action
  • A few years later Lilian finds a dead Scarlet Ibis sitting under what is called a "Bleeding Tree". It had came in from the storm, killed by the winds.
  • Resolution
  • Vincent and Lilian are out fishing when a storm hits. Vincent rushes to get home, leaving his sister to struggle after him. Her poor health catches up with her first and she is left behind. Vincent continues running.
  • Vincent runs back after realizing his mistake. He knows he had done the wrong thing by leaving her behind.
  • He finds his sister dead behind bushes, just like Lilian had, Vincent lost his Scarlet Ibis.
