  • Governor Herbert grew up in Orem Utah attended orem high, after he graduated he went to BYU and became Utah's 17th governor at age 62.
  • He served a LDS mission for two years, then got married and had six kids. 
  • He knows the problems going on in Utah that revolve around gun violence and states, "Herbert repeatedly turned the issue back to school safety and mental health, saying there isn’t one perfect solution to reducing gun violence.
  • Class, Today we have a special guest to talk to us about gun safety. I'll let him introduce himself.

  • Utah has had a lot of issues with gun violence. from suicides to shootings. I want to talk to you about ways we can prevent scool shootings. Any questions or comments?

  • I personally think we have been lucky. According to there has only been one school shooting in Utah.
