Yeah! Our teacher expalined some of your life but what did you do after your mission?
I personally want to know more about you and how you got to where you are today?
Of course, after graduating high school I served a LDS mission for two years as most of you know. Then I attended Brigham Young University and while I was they're I joined the Utah National Guard and served for six years. Then I started a real estate business.
Well how did any of that lead to becoming our governor? Did you just wake up one day and decided you wanted to lead Utah?
My political career began on the Utah County Commission, where I served for 14 years. During that time I was president of the Utah Association of Counties and the Utah Association of Realtors. My wife, Jeannette, and I also founded and ran a child care service in Orem for 23 years.
Sounds like you were very busy and accomplished!
So I have another question. Where do you stand on gun laws?
That is a good questions. Being apart of the national rifle association I am not against guns. I do however open to changing the state's gun laws as part of a broader strategy intended to prevent violence at schools.
