My family and I take a photo before we leave France. I am on the far left, my brother sitting on the old table of our ancient home, and my parents.
My family and I finally board the morning boat leaving Bordeaux in a couple hours, a picture was taken from a higher dock.
THE BOAT LEAVES AT 09:00!
A photographer on the vessel took a picture of our quarters that we will use for the remainder of the trip, however long that is supposed to take. The ship's captain only speaks English, so none on the boat can get around to asking him questions.
I was processed into the United States. Never before have a been to another country outside of France, but my family is no where to be seen, the processing does take time, so I will explore the city I have arrived in.
When exploring the city, i discovered a factory. looking inside the windows, i noticed children were weaving. I wondered why? How much were they payed? Was all of it worth it? These tough conditions didn't look healthy.
Returning to the port, the families coming off the boat started to clear up, but my family was no where to be seen. I hope they are alright. wherever they are.
