The townspeople of the northern colonies talk about the new acts placed on them by the King. Why the many taxes you may ask. Just to pay off war debt crazy right.
I know right
Some time later the King wasn't getting enough money from the stamp act and others so he had a plan. That plan was to tax the tea which was a major source of income for Britain. Without any say from the colonist.
Not enough money more taxes
When news got around to the colonist they were not happy. They first complained about everything that was happen then they thought of something better. Instead they decided to respond to the injustice and the taxation.
Did you hear about the new tea tax
Nooooo, oh my goodness another tax
There response was to gather all the tea leafs imported from Britain get them all on boats and throw all the tea leafs over board into the Hudson. A Boston Tea Party you could say you know except you know without the tea cause that just walked the plank. Like the news about the new tax news about this so called Boston Tea Party spread just as quick.
When news of this got to the King he issued a new set of Acts which were affecting the colonist economy and their way of life. Everyone was fed up so sometime after the Acts a complication between the Troops and the colonist which left four wounded and one dead this event became known as the Boston Massacre. During these events an author by the name of Thomas Paine wrote a book called "Common Sense" which led the colonist to think of independence to regain their way of life.
This is blasphemy, treason i must impose more Acts as a way of punishment
At this point the colonist were fed up and independence was high on the list of prioritizes. So the First Continental Congress meet in Pennsylvania to discuss toward this subject of importance. The outcome of everything was a fight to the death a struggle to men and a tragedy for all to see. Yes, I mean a war.
