  • I would like to start the necessary steps to have my vision quest
  • This is great! I found my special place that will help guide me in the right direction in life

  •
  • After visiting his elder, Akobi now takes the next step where you find a sacred and meaningful place for you. Akobi chose this spot because it has a very special place in his heart where both his older brother and father also chose this spot.
  • I wonder what my vision means I need to see my elder!
  • As part of the vision quest Akobi goes to a sweet lodge. A ceremony is performed to purify the mind, heart and body. This sacred ceremony helps in the sacred spiritual journey. Also this purification of the entire body involves fasting and praying until the vision quest has be completed.
  • The bald eagle    represents honesty, truth, strength courage wisdom power and freedom
  • After a week of countless praying, fasting, purifying himself and entering the sweatlodge Akobi finally sees his vision. As he stands alone in the dark, cold and rainy lagoon Akobi begins to see a vision of a bald eagle soaring through the air.
  • The next step for Akobi is to return home and tell his elder the great news that he has had his vision. The elder will then let Akobi know what his vision means and symbolizes.
  • Akobi returned home on his long and powerful journey, where he tells his elder that he has had his vision quest and has seen a bald eagle. His elder starts to explain that the bald eagle symbolizes honesty, truth, strength, courage, wisdom, majesty, power and freedom.
