  • I'm going to get in the castle!!
  • This story is about the different languages going through time and how difficult they were compared to our language now.
  • Romeo, Romeo where for art thou Romeo!
  • Old English took place from 450 - 1150, the most popular poem back in Old English was Beowulf. Old English was difficult to read because it was pronounced differently and harder to read. The words in Old English came from Latin, Greek, French, Arabic, Italian and Scandinavian. Old English was the hardest language of them all.

  •  The Middle English time period took place from 1150 - 1500, the most famous author in this time was Chaucer. His most popular tale was The Canterbury Tales, it was about a group of people making a pilgrimage.  Middle English is still difficult to read because the spelling is different and the pronunciation is hard the say.
  • The Shakespeare time period took place from 1500 - 1800, Shakespeare managed to write 37 famous plays and invented 1700 words in his life. His most famous play was Romeo and Juliet, it was about two people that fell in love and couldn't be together, and they both end up dying to a dagger. Shakespeare is hard to read because a lot of it doesn't make sense and is hard to read.
  • There are different types of slang these are Rhyming Slang, Changed Spelling and Regional Slang. Rhyming slang slang that rhymes for example "Frog and Toad"(Road). Changed Spelling is when you change the spelling of a word like instead of what you do wot for short, and Regional Slang is specific to a particular region. Say you are from Queensland and you go to Melbourne for a holiday, and you ask a shop keeper if they have any togs they wouldn't have the best idea of what that is because they call them bathers.
