  • Idea is presented to a member of Congress
  • Bill is introduced to a committee
  • Later taken to a corresponding committee in the House of Reps. and reviewed
  • House passes bill
  • Bill is sent to Senate or House floor, debated upon and approved or denied by majority vote
  • Senate passes bill
  • An approved bill is sent to the President
  • The President can sign the bill, law it w/o a signature, veto, or pocket veto it
  • I approve this bill and it is now a law. Arizona drivers who rear-end a car because of another car will not be responsible if it is found that it is not their fault.
