Storyboard Text

  • As African Americans did sit-ins at restaurants to peacefully protest, there were white people outside protesting.
  • White protesters were very disrespectful to the African Americans, and some even spit on them and threw food.
  • Even though people were so disrespectful, African Americans continued to protest for their equal rights.
  • Martin Luther was the one who set the example of protesting peacefully rather than resulting to violence.
  • Martin Luther King Jr. was killed due to his leadership of the civil rights movement.
  • Thankfully in 1964, John F. Kenndey put all segregation laws to rest.
